Why Referral Only
The discipline of a
closed roster.
Referral is not exclusivity for its own sake. It is the operating discipline of the firm.
Every engagement the firm accepts is held personally by one of its principals. A roster that is not closed is a roster that cannot be held personally. Referral is the only filter that keeps the standard intact.
What It Protects
Discretion,
fit, and depth.
Three things become structurally impossible past a certain scale.
01
Discretion
A roster that is not closed leaks. Referral keeps the perimeter of the firm tight by construction.
02
Fit
Principals introduced by someone we trust arrive with most of the qualification already done. Misfits do not reach the door.
03
Depth
Personal coverage by a firm principal is only possible at a roster size we deliberately refuse to outgrow.
How Referrals Reach Us
Through people
we already work with.
Most introductions come from existing principals, their counsel, or trusted operators in adjacent firms. A small number of inbound inquiries reach us directly. Every inquiry receives a reply. The firm does not pursue inbound. The firm does reply. The threshold for reply is higher for inquiries from outside the referral channel, but the channel does not close.
Confidential Inquiry
Engagements are by referral and invitation only.
If a trusted source has introduced you to the firm, or if you believe your situation warrants direct contact, a senior principal will reply within forty-eight hours.
